At the Airlock Congress at it-sa 2024, we are devoting ourselves entirely to the topic of “The (r)evolution of digital identity”.
Martin Kuppinger, founder and Principial Analyst at KuppingerCole, will share his analyst perspective and open the congress with a fascinating insight into the transformation brought about by decentralized identities. With the adoption of the eIDAS 2.0 regulation in spring 2024 and the requirements for the introduction of an EUDI Wallet (EU Digital Identity), SSI/DCI are in focus. This session will provide you with a concise overview of the concepts and potential benefits of these new technologies, as well as the open issues that still need to be resolved.
Herbert Leitold, head of A-SIT , will present the current status of the EU on the subject of electronic identity (eID or PID), including the pitfalls and opportunities, and show where the journey will take us. The status of the specifications for the EUDI Wallet and the first drafts of the implementing acts will be summarized. The example of the large-scale pilot POTENTIAL and the solutions in Austria will show what concrete use cases and implementations could look like.
Marc Bütikofer, Head of Innovation at Airlock, will show what changes the introduction of these new identity solutions will bring for users and companies, which business processes will be affected and how you can prepare for them now.
Elmar Reif, Chief Product Officer of PXL Vision, gives an outlook on how eID will change digital identity verification and what companies should consider in order to achieve optimal conversion results today and in the future. The eID will massively change identification processes in a positive sense. At the same time, however, eID will also make identity verification more complex.
For companies, the focus of identification processes is always on the conversion rate.
Finally, we invite you to a panel discussion in which we will discuss together how the new handling of digital identities will transform the balance between user-friendliness, compliance and security as well as your business processes. Contribute your perspective and benefit from the exchange with experts and colleagues!
The congress will be held once in the morning from 10:00 - 12:00 and a second time in the afternoon from 14:00 -16:00. The choice is yours.
