Identities are core to most organisations’ infrastructure and security, and many cyber attacks involve stealing, compromising and misusing corporate user accounts. The number of stolen credentials available for sale on the dark web has exploded over the last few years, with all types of threat actor able to browser and purchase access to their targets of choice.

In Secureworks’ global Incident Response engagements, 79% of incidents have involved identities. In this session, join Secureworks Counter Threat Unit’s Director of Threat Research, Chris Yule, as he discusses some case studies of real-world incidents that have involved identities. This includes some advanced state-sponsored actors and their attempts to abuse the complexity of cloud infrastructure to obtain and maintain access to victim networks.
