Cyber security in a rapidly changing world is a mammoth task.
 
D.LIVE faced just such a task during the EURO 2024. What looks like a classic medium-sized company with around 200 endpoints from the outside has other impressive figures behind it: With around 10,000 events and over 50 million visitors, D.LIVE is the leader when it comes to offering unforgettable live experiences.
 
But anyone who thinks that a large number of internal security analysts and administrators are behind these impressive figures is mistaken.  
 
The risk of cyber attacks is increasing worldwide - not only during such events, but even more so in everyday life. The associated damage and insurance costs are rising. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in particular are under pressure, as they often do not invest enough in cyber prevention.  
 
According to a study commissioned by GDV, 69% of SMEs do not even meet the basic requirements for IT security, while damage caused by cyber attacks has risen by 83%.  
 
There are several reasons for this:
- SMEs shy away from investing heavily in more and more protective measures to keep pace with ever-increasing threats.
- The shortage of skilled workers means there is a lack of important experts
- High requirements and complex applications from insurers for cyber insurance
