Action description

NIS2 about to be implemented by NIS2UmsCG:
Where to start and what to focus on? Is 24/7 SOC a requirement or a zero-trust approach? What options are there for taking out cyber insurance and how does cyber resilience affect policies?

NIS2 and especially NIS2UmsuCG as the implementation law for Germany is currently on everyone's lips and is increasing uncertainty regarding compliance requirements. At the same time, despite all the successful investigations such as 'Operation Endgame', we are still seeing many cyber criminals in a gold rush, now significantly intensified by AI and automation, while at the same time cybersecurity policies are not economical for many.

As a member of the Federal Cyber Security Commission, SonicWall advises on drafts for the implementation of directives such as NIS2 into national law, with the aim of providing technical support to policymakers. We can therefore provide you with first-hand background information and support you in meeting the challenge of increased security requirements step by step.

In this presentation, we will explain the current status quo as well as the effects of the introduction of NIS2UmsuCG in Germany and which solutions are needed to take the next steps towards full compliance.

In addition, we will share with you initial content that we will explore in greater depth in our workshops and provide you with initial solutions to the question of how companies should secure themselves in the future.

Especially in today's dynamic threat landscape, our customers trust us more than ever to protect their sensitive data, systems and processes from increasingly sophisticated cyber threats.

Our experts from SonicWall look forward to meeting you at it-sa at booth 151 & 251 in hall 7.
Together with our partners Tarador, Tenzing, Netzperten, Stirnberg, Choin, Cosus, MCM and Data-Sec, we will provide you with an overview of our top topics in a personal discussion:

- First-hand information directly from the Federal Cyber Security Commission on the integration of NIS2 into German law
- Possible steps for setting up a holistic, cyber-resilient security architecture
- Implementation of a 24x7 SOC with managed detection & response to be able to react to alarms at any time
- Set up a zero-trust strategy with security posture review, intelligent forwarding, user verification
- Next-gen firewalls: security, control and transparency for effective cyber security
- Situation analysis regarding a secure transition to hybrid, private or public cloud components
- Advice on special requirements in the areas of KRITIS, healthcare, education and the public sector
- Determination of cyber resilience in the case of actively exploited gateways, e.g. via the encrypted data stream and lack of virtual patching
- Determining the defensive capabilities of APTs - advanced persistent threats, artificial intelligence and targeted attacks
- The most important findings from the Mid-Year Cyber Threat Report 2024 from our over 1.2 million sensors
- Extensive live demos & presentations at the stand
