Action description

By making "IT security & networked mobility" the center of discussion, we will ask: where do we stand and where do we want to go? What are the current challenges? How to develop the overall ecosystem? What is the role of IT security in this context? We will focus on the relevance of the "Security by Design" concept in the development of mobility platforms and applications as well as on the importance of ensuring digital trust between all stakeholders in the overall ecosystem. By doing so, we also touch upon cryptographic processes and solutions (keyword: Public Key Infrastructure / PKI). The development of Europe-wide compatible intelligent transport services based on a common trust environment will not be left unaddressed. In addition, secure Vehicle-to-X (V2X) communication and the securing of Collaborative Intelligent Transportation Systems (C-ITS) will also be part of the discussion. International norms and standards (e.g. UN ECE CySec regulations) will further complement the picture and, on top of that, we will get first-hand insights about how to build a competence center for the cybersecurity of mechatronic products. In view of hybrid threat scenarios and attack vectors, we will also focus on the future role of Vehicle Security Operations Centers (Vehicle SOC) as a core component of a risk-based approach. ... read more
